About

Hi, I'm Leon and I'm a Game Developer. I currently study Games Engineering and I'm working on a few projects on my own, which you can check out down below. What made me get into developing games was the joy of games themselves and the joy of solving problems. There's nothing more satisfying than making an elegant solution to a complex issue work. When I'm not coding I'm probably playing guitar (mostly metal), reading or cooking something delicious. So if you want to jam, have a good book or recipe to share or just want to make some games, hit me up!

Projects
Skeletoons
Skeletoons is a lowpoly stealth and puzzle game based on Unity and C#. The player controls a skeleton who's scared of the other scary creatures on the graveyard and needs to escape. It features challenging puzzles, clever level design and beautiful graphics through Unity's light and post processing tools.
Wallther - Dont let the wall falter
In this arcade game the player needs to keep the wall guarding the city intact while the enemy army attacks. The challenge lies in managing the resources efficiently and finding the perfect set of upgrades to stay on top of the barrage of enemy projectiles.
The Tale of a Senile Wizard
This puzzle game was developed during the Summer SemesterGameJam 2020 and features a senile wizard who occasionally remembers his spells. The theme was "Modification" which we implemented through spell books that allow the wizard to modify his environment with powerful spells. One freezes water, one slows down time and one even changes the perspective
Space Disaster
This game was our entry for the Winter SemesterGameJam 2020 with the theme "Malfunction". The malfunction in our game is the space ship the player is stuck on. Everything seems to fall apart and it's only a matter of time until the ship completely fails...

Unless you can fix everything in time.
CHIP8 Emulator
After being introduced into the world of emulators by Dolphin (Nintendo Wii) and Yuzu (Nintendo Switch), I was fascinated by the way these programs can act like an entire console and run games in their place. I wanted to get a better grasp on what's going on, so I started where everyone starts: Writing a CHIP8 emulator
FreeZwap
FreeZwap was the result of my first ever game jam. The theme was "Freeze" which we made into the core mechanic of our game: Freezing your position in space. The momentum is stored, so unfreezing during a jump will send you flying on the original arc. Paired with ten increasingly challenging puzzles, we made it to 4th place.
